Storage Wars Lawsuit

Just read that one of the stars of Storage Wars is suing the network claiming that parts of the show are staged. Is this any surprise? Maybe not, after appearing on an episode of Monster In-Laws, I know what power producers of A&E have in making reality shows seem all too real. Trust me, Reality TV is NOT REAL. Stumbled upon HBO's Cinema Verite movie which is a behind the scenes story of An American Family, the 1970's PBS documentary that launched a new television genre- which we know as Reality TV. Totally awesome and recommended, especially if you love reality television as I do......................:)

Long Island Gas Lines

Spending this weekend at home. Earlier today just heading to the grocery store there were 2 mile long lines of cars just waiting for the gas trucks to arrive at the gas stations. I was told that these cars had been waiting in the lines for at least 5 hours and the gas was still not delivered.
Fingers crossed I will wait until Monday to look for gas. Hope the situation  changes.

We made it through Hurricane Sandy. The winds were fierce. Haven't seen anything like it.
Power was off for 3 days and that makes us lucky. Never saw anything like this.

Rains's First Field Trip

Raina went on her 1st field trip to an apple orchard. She picked a bag full of apples Her first trip was soooooooooooooo much funnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn:) When she got home she was proud of her apple picking skills and asked me to make something sweet out of the apples, so I made a tart. New School Year

The kiddies are enjoying the beginning of the new school year. So far, sooooooo good. Brendan is already signed up for the bridge club and he will be playing an instrument this year in band. As for little Raina, she is absolutely enjoying going to private school. Every morning she gets up and comes into my room and tells me "it's time for school." She is loving wearing a uniform and eating lunch at school. Will keep you updated and will post some pics of 1st school day. Thanks for looking XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Eve of The 2012-2013 School Year

Just pondering the upcoming school year on it's Eve.
I am really excited for Brendan to start his new school year in a new school. He is looking forward to seeing old friends and looking forward to meeting lots of new friends. For  him, it is a transition year where he can look forward to greater responsibility and lots of after school clubs. He wants to join the Student Council and The Drama Club for starters.
As for Raina, my baby is leaving me for an all day Kindergarten program at a local private school, uniform and all. She is excited to start Kindergarten and as always eager to make many new friends.She is growing up a little to fast for me, but I am so excited for her to move on to becoming a big girl. 
As all us parents prepare for the new school year, just remember we are such a big part of our children's success in school, so give yourself a pat on the back and big hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Just read that Jersey Shore has been canceled after six seasons. Bummer:(, I'll miss the Guido and Giuditta gang. The good news though is that Snooki and JWoww's Show was picked up for a Second Season, but Pauly D's Show still awaits it's Season 2 fate:(

Back-to-School

It's a hot August day and as much as I have been enjoying the time I have been spending with Brendan and Raina, I realize that looking forward to September is bittersweet. I will for the first time in ten years have two children in school full time. I will cry as I see Brendan and Raina off to school next month, but I will also rejoice in the time I will have to focus on me and reinventing myself back into a career woman................... It's going to be a long road back........... I guess that this change will be great for me and my children too...........:)

Oh Boy, last Friday, I was watching CNN, with eager anticipation, but a little bummed that I wasn't getting in on the debut of Facebook's IPO. Good thing I didn't, FB is down 10% as of now and widely considered a market failure. Have to wait and see how the stock does in the long run :(

So darn busy today. Got dental x-rays, teeth are looking good, Thank you Jesus. Working on booking Raina's 5th Birthday Party. Today Raina goes back to dance class from a 2 week vacation. Later she has
her summer camp reunion, with 2 hours of fun, fun, fun...........:)
